yes it is a bit late, but better late than never.
anyways, i've been seriously thinking about what exactly i want to do. do i just want to be a average guy.. work 9-5, paid a salary, and retire below subsistence at what seems to now be 80? or do i want to do something else? what else can i do?
truthfully, i dislike working as it is. i cannot stand having a boss. while there are fun bosses and there are totalitarian bosses, i just cannot see myself investing most of my life listening to higher ups. it is not that i dislike to work hard, it is that i cannot imagine working hard for someone most of my life just to see myself getting fired any minute.
one thing i want to do during the next 3-5 years is start something again on the side. be it imports & exports, walking dogs, teaching billiards, whatever... i want to do something that can be a part-time business to bring extra money in.
i want to also become a financial advisor. it sounds redundant but i want to help people allocate their assets and debts to increase their wealth. instead of telling people to go for cd's or savings accounts... i want to teach them how investing in bond and equity funds is a much more preferable way to invest.
i also want to go to graduate school. what i want to do isn't graduate level, basically anybody with a degree in finance and a few licenses can pursue, but i find going to graduate school something of a life accomplishment. only 27.2% of US citizens have a bachelors degree or higher, even fewer have graduate degree's.
